Riverview Systems Group Upgrades Cupertino High School Football Field with New Technomad Audio System

Riverview Systems Group recently completed a clean and efficient upgrade of the outdoor sound system at the Cupertino High School Football Field (19160 Twig Ln, Cupertino, CA 95014), bringing renewed power, clarity, and reliability to the stadium’s announcements, game-day programming, and special events.

The project centered on a straightforward 1-for-1 replacement of the school’s aging loudspeakers with Technomad Noho full-range outdoor loudspeakers. The Noho, part of Technomad’s flagship line of weatherproof loudspeakers, delivers exceptional speech clarity, powerful musical performance, and unmatched durability thanks to its Military-Grade construction and fully weatherproof, roto-molded enclosure. The upgrade ensures that Cupertino High’s game-day audio remains crisp, intelligible, and consistent across the entire field—regardless of weather or heavy school use.

Enhanced System Performance with Updated Amplification

During the installation, Riverview discovered that the school’s existing amplifier was failing and unable to properly support the system. To ensure long-term reliability, the team replaced the faulty amplifier and added a second amplifier to correctly power the load. Prior to the upgrade, the school had been running three older loudspeakers in parallel, a configuration that placed excessive strain on the previous amp. The new dual-amplifier setup ensures stable power distribution, improved system efficiency, and increased equipment lifespan.

DSP & Limiter Added for Extra Protection

Understanding the realities of a high school audio environment—dropped microphones, sudden volume spikes, and varying users—the Riverview team also installed a DSP with a built-in limiter. This protects the new Noho loudspeakers and amplifiers from transient peaks that could occur during daily operation or special events. The addition of the DSP ensures the system remains safe, balanced, and consistent no matter who is at the controls.

Professional Installation by Riverview Systems Group

The project was led by Michael Noble, Director of Service & Repair at Riverview Systems Group, Inc., who oversaw the seamless transition from the aging system to the robust new Technomad solution. The Riverview team completed the installation efficiently and with minimal impact on school activities.
